One Inch Galleon

Kerry lives with her dad on a forgotten East London scrapyard with her mother's ghost, some sinister spirits and a disembodied eye, although her dad can't see any of them.  He gets upset if she mentions them.  He makes sculptures from the scrap, drinks whiskey and loves her.  She wishes he'd wash more and fill the fridge more, and she loves him too.

Then the police smash the door down and drag him away.  They say he murdered seven people.  Her mother's ghost disappears, too, and Kerry is left alone with the spirits and the eye to navigate a world of teenage drinking, boys, psychics, out-patients and crime, where nowhere is safe from the sadistic Sam Crouch, who she learns is the reason her dad is locked up.

One Inch Galleon is a dark and twisty first novel which is still looking for a print home.
